In April of 1946, Tick Tock opened in Burlington, Vermont, and as 2023 approached, we were excited about celebrating our 77th birthday with the community. We have always been family-owned and operated, and we consider our customers to be part of our family and not just clientele. Over the years, we have gotten to know so many personally, often throughout several generations of family. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and many more events with our customers. We've shared in the giddiness and romance (and sometimes the nervousness) of marriage proposals, and also the joy of the birth of children that we have watched flourish and grow. And we've snuggled and fed treats to quite a few furry companions in the store, and featured them on our Instagram "Doggie Wall of Fame."
As 2023 progressed, our creative minds were on how to celebrate our 77th birthday with everyone. Then, suddenly, everything changed. Unexpected decisions were made and priorities were shifted.
These days, we are focused on what is necessary for the well-being and safety of all. We are still here and would love to hear from everyone via email and Facebook. And when the time comes, we will be overjoyed to welcome everyone back into the store to celebrate our birthday and MORE!
